    help please; wires and retro-fit a V70 sub-woofer

Hello, long time lurking in the shadows here, but always enjoyed reading the threads.

My question is, I am in the process of buying the optional sub-woofer for my 2005 V70R, and having looked at the threads here and checking my boot space, it would appear that I do not have the pre-wired harness, and attach various photos which hopefully shed some light on what is in the boot well. I did have the optional tow hitch on the car, that I have since removed, so that may explain some of the cables.
I understand a harness was/is available which connects to the D pillar speakers etc. but before I hopefully find one of these, could anybody comment on what they see in case the pre-wired harness is hidden in the boot well somewhere.

    many thanks.

was hoping for the pre-wired connection in the boot, In your opinion, is that missing from the photos and i therefore need to get hold of the seperate harness?

I’ll be removing the harness from a V70R I’m breaking currently, I think it goes up to rear speakers / Rem area, someone has already asked for it but if it falls through and you need one i’ll let you know.

If it’s not shown in the pictures and you can’t (obviously) see it, then it’s not there.
The harness would never fit under the rear trim as the subwoofer plug is too big.

That's it Ettienne. Keep in mind the harness is different depending on the year's (<04 and >05). The difference is in the REM connectors.

Established that the harness is no longer available to buy from volvo, so if anyone has a secondhand harness for an '05 V70 then please let me know. If it still has the subwoofer attached then even better

Get the harness from a scrappy that specialises in Volvo, Braydon motor company for example, then buy the subwoofer complete from the site that Ricardo posted. Otherwise, your going to waiting a very long time.

You’ll need the harness from an 05> car.

I just did a quick search on eBay and found a subwoofer (w/ the bracket) and the wiring. The subwoofer should also bring the carpet/matt, but cannot understand from this listing if it's included or not.
