    My 850R story

    Hi all

Just got my first R yesterday, it’s very tired looking but everything seems to work, well in a fashion took long time to free up rear left wheel.
I rescued it from a farm in north of Scotland, initially I went to see it to maybe get some bits for my 97 T5 but when I seen it looking so sad I had to have it.
It started first time but PCV will definitely need replacing never seen a glove blown up so quickly 😆
Volans are in a sorry state but hopefully a blast and powder coat will have them back to their former glory.

It’s a red 855 auto with tan interior, last part of number plate is 855😄

Going to polish up nicely, bit of a strange one though, felt like it was running on 4 cylinders so I went to put in new plugs and the middle one was difficult to get out and when I did it was covered in oil, changed it runs perfect took new plug back out to check it no oil. ????

I checked out all my plugs the other day. I had oil down at least 2/3 of the plugs hole. Been there for some time. It was nice a syrupy!! All cleaned out now. Replaced filler cap seal. Another thing I should probably replace is the plugs although they seemed alright.

Amazing what a bit of polish can do.
