V70 D5 DMF and Clutch change

Due to judder on pullaway and what felt like misfires a couple of times I'm looking at doing the DMF and clutch. Car is a 2007 163bhp on 146K.

Any other bits that should be changed for preventative maintenance while she is in bits?

I will be using genuine parts including a new slave cylinder and bolts all available from ebay as a kit for £488 delivered - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F192380188149

There's a core plug behind the fly wheel which has been known to fail on the diesels, also check your rear main seal.

    Clutch change

How did the clutch & DMF change go, Blackdog ?

That's a really good price for parts from Volvopartstrade on eBay, I've used them for a few parts recently, very good service too.

I think the euro 4 will already be fitted with the later core plug, so probably no need to change it.

Still waiting to be done at the moment. I got the core plug, crank oil seal and drive shaft oil seals added to the order to be on the safe side. Turns out the seller is Mill Volvo in Newcastle. Just need to pin the mechanic down on a date to do the work.

Clutch and DMF finally fitted on Friday. Car drives and feels totally different. The clutch had plenty of life left but still fitted the new one.The DMF was shot though. One tip to others doing the job is to get the air pipe that fits into the slave cylinder as well. Mine cracked and snapped when trying to get it off causing a days delay on the job while it was got in overnight by my local dealer.

Local self employed mechanic did the job for me for £160.00. Bargain me thinks.
