Service history, blue/white smoke on acceleration, blue smoke on start up (cold).

Cambelt history, crank case breather replaced?

    It's a 850R.

Has it been in storage during it's life?

At that money you should have a file of receipts as thick as the yellow pages, be immaculate inside & out, plus be a lowish mileage manual.

If not buy a £3k car and spend the balance on getting up to spec.

Edit - it’s an auto with nearly 140k on the clock and has had two long 3yr plus lay ups in the past ten years. so don’t go above £4k It’ll be dead money.

    Good luck

Ps if your looking to spend strong money then a Japanese import is a decent shout as they are generally low mileage, mechanically sound & immaculate.
