    C70 T5 driver's window issue. Advice please.

Just noticed tonight that my driver's window isn't closing properly at the front edge, leaving a gap of 5-10mm. If I use the flat of hand on the window and push upwards whilst operating the switch, I can close it.

Is this the regulator issue that I've heard about before please? If so, is it new parts or resetting it somehow?

more likely to be loose bolts in the mechanism or the green plastic guides are worn and need replacing, not normally to difficult to do, Gully's n/s/f window does this and I must get around to sorting it, as it's hard to reach when your driving to close it...

I'll just try to avoid dropping the window. If I have to pay a toll, then open the sunroof, stand up and pay.......is my theory!

C70 has a totally different regulator to the S/V70, I think it uses cables.

Not necessarily, you need to take the door card off to see if there's anything obviously wrong, such as the glass coming adrift from the cassette, if not, there are adjustment screws on the cables, so if the front of the cassette the glass sits on has slipped down the cable, you loosen the front clamp, slide the window up, and tighten the clamp.

OK, so it's been hot today, so I thought that I would drop my windows all the way. The drivers door window got to the bottom before some nasty noises, and it wouldn't come back up. I've managed to pull it up and wedge it in place with foam(what else would the foamman use!!). Can hear the motor when I operate the switch, but I need to strip it down asap!!
