    Trying out a new dascam...

    For the newer members....
I have an ex-police v70 t5. Attached to the engine is a 19t turbocharger. Attached to the turbo is a 3" downpipe with 200 cell race cat. Attached to the downpipe is a TME resonator box. Attached to the TME resonator box is the back-half of a v70r catback.

    Here's what it sounds like....

(yes, I know the power cable flopped down in front of the camera lol)
19t, greens, 3" inlet, 3" downpipe with race cat, V70R catback, autotech map...

    310.2bhp / 333ft/lb

2016 Swedish Day UK "Best Modified Swede"
    SOLD

    Got an old discovery now.

What dashcams do you use MArtin? I presume that rear one is a proper dashcam rather than one of those piddly little (reversing camera type) units that plug in to the front mounted camera.

I'm looking in to cameras for both front and rear at the moment.

I highly recommend this one for a FRONT cam.....

I use it in my van and the day/night footage is crystal clear.

That's good to know as I've been looking at very similar ones to that Lee. I prefer that design that fits in behind the mirror rather than something that hangs off a gopping great big suction mount obscuring the view with a 4" screen! So my plan was to get one of those and then a cheap and compact one for the rear.

Cheers Martin. That's a pretty good deal, shame it doesn't quite fit my needs

@Lee - see that Toguard one you linked? Do you know if it has a proper motion sensor that sets it off recording if someone walks in front whilst you are parked? I've looked at various ones around this price range and I get the impression that some of them claim to have motion sensing but what they actually mean is shock sensing that starts off recording if the vehicle is bumped.

Yes it does, says so on the box. I have it switched off though as my van faces the road!

Also Toguard is an Australian company and they build them in China.

I also bought this hardwire kit to install, as I didn't want to faff about with USB plugs or cigarette socket plugs.....Excellent quality kit and comes with different fittings for different methods. (Highly recommend!)
