Thinking I might drain and flush my gearbox (MT). Is it worth using a different brand of oil or should I just stick with Volvo/Ford stuff? On my Saab there's a couple of alternatives recommended as they suffer notchy shifts.

Volvo stuff is probably best but I have 75/90 in mine (from gsf) and it's been fine for a couple of years.
There's even a member that's used JCB gearbox oil...

If you want to upgrade (like I did) then give Redline 75/90 NS a try.
When MRG changed mine a few years ago, within a few miles I could hear the difference!

Cool. It's the Redline MTL that was recommended for the Saab as well. Shame the two cars take different grades as I could have probably got a slight discount buying a load in bulk.
