Where did you get the engine support brace brackets from? The dark blue ones...?
    Was it from here...http://www.proparts.se/

...only, nowhere on their site is the ability to actually purchase anything!

So a couple of set backs this week.

    Firstly this:

Which is some what disappointing, this was the second one that came like this!

And the next problem was this:

This is how it turned up the other day, it was inadequately packaged hence the damage!

And finally had a couple custom key rings made up to match the Atacama interior of the car.

On a plus note, carried out a U.E.M reset & the remote fob seems to have its normal range back as opposed to having to be right up at the side of the car!

I wouldn't worry the sponge bit. Most people remove it anyway. It does nothing other than mute the induction sound. Without it, the car will sound better.

Lol - I was looking earlier at the OPs picture & couldn't see the problem - I assumed when I did mine that the foam wrap was just additional packaging to stop the fins getting damaged in transport! Ever day is a day at school

However I can confirm intake suffered no ill effects - but to be fair - the one I changed out didn't have the foam

Yeah, the foam reduces intake sound, other than that has no other function.
