    Donnas s60r

    Here's our new purchase
    Late 2004 s60r

There's a few little jobs to do do should keep me busy for a while.
Ready for new discs and pads

Found a coolant leak im sumising it's the rad but will investige when it's up on the lift

Other than them two items every thing else seem more than fine it's recently had a new angle sleeve new clutch, new injectors, new alloy Intercooler and new 3" do.

Going to get the alloys refurbished as they are due

Also there's a shed load of unused wires in the boot so need to trace them and investige what they are actually for here a few pics
    Here's the first

This connects to a unit built into the arm rest cupboard

Then there's these also there what seems computer wires

And finally sections of the seats were starting to show their age so bought a dye kit to mix your own colour.

it was supposed to be one of those things that you connect an iPod to in the arm rest? iMax or something I forgot the name. A playstation 2 was mentioned in the paperwork maybe some of the extra wiring is to do with that??

I think John had a build thread on t5d5, have a look for that. I'm pretty sure that I remember something about him adding a digital TV tuner.

Rear digital TV is mentioned in this post from that thread, I can't see much detail on it otherwise (although didn't spend much time looking tbh)

As soon as I get some time I will do some tracing and find where it leads to mainly to find out what's in the centre console.

Ref lock stops, One of mine has the 5mm spacers fitted to the wheels to stop the rubbing and improve the steering lock, it's not one I drive often but works ok.

I'm having nav issues on the project s60r pops up every time the car is started, not sure why though

I too have thought about fitting 5mm spacers i will see how much the lock stops improve it first.
Our sat nav used to pop up but then i found the shut down in the menu and been fine since.

Looking forward to having the wheels done as there well over due but keep thinking about going for a set of 18's only thing is the ride is incredibly smooth with the 17's

Mine does that if I don't power the sat nav 'off' FIRST before switching the car 'off'.

If I start the car then switch on the sat nav......then power it 'off', it lowers and then the Sat Nav remembers the last state it was in. Switch off car and restart, Sat Nav stays down!

Even if you're missing the remote, just power off the Sat Nav first before switching off the car. If it then pops up on the next restart, I would try an RTI reload at your local dealer first. Cost will be about £80 (RTI software is part# 9438400 and costs £42.60 + Vat. Labour is around £25).

If that does not fix the problem then you'll need to send it away for a new PCB. (Cost around £180 for the PCB....£275 if you have to have a new screen also.)

Unfortunately, if you have to send it away for a new PCB, you'll need a software reload at Volvo again before it will work on the car's control's/remote.

I would first check to see if you have any RTI**** fault codes stored in your CEM, as these will be an indication of any RTI faults. Including COMMS faults between RTI and CEM.

I'll give it a go and check with vida (thanks), all 3 have nav but I never use them.

Is there a way to get digital Tv on them?
