Just a quicky - to explain first:
i have on my Mark 1 V70 225/45 17 Wheels on, which are Volvo and fit.
When I put them on, the been fine, even on Lock.( very slight Scrapping )
now i just got new Tyres on the Wheels and it is scrapping now on the inner Wheel Arche.( loud and Badly )
maybe the old Tyres been already to Fubared. lol
To prevent the Scrapping and also the clearance of the Handbrake Cable on the rear i organised some Wheel spacers.
10mm
Working great on the rear and giving the Clearance on the Rear Handbrake Cables and the Front.
And they are just on the Corner of the Wheel Arche on the Front.
The Downturn is - them 10mm are not with Lip which means the Front wheels are only holding on the Bolts which is a bad Idea in my Eyes.
Other version would be 16mm with Lip but they would stick out. Looks silly as the Rear would need about 30mm to give a identical look. and the rear Wheel Arche wouls ait and cut the Tyres in this Case.
So alternative as i don't really want to spend around 90 quit on 16mm Wheel Spacers plus the Chav look on it - how do i get the clearance - or prevent the front Wheels going in the Inner Wheel Arche when turning, especially Parking in tight Areas?
i have no Welder and i admit i can not use one of them, so i thought getting some JB Weld and just get a Metal Bracket about 4 mm thick over the part where the original Wheel Stop sit on the old V70s which are non removable.
Would this do the Trick without investing to much in solving this Problem ?
( I am sure some of you being playing on there V70s or 850s to solve such a Problem. lol )
