Ecu woes, Turbo Tuner not playing ball...

Just installed turbo tuner ecu on my 96 850 t5 using the base map provided but the car barely idles/stalls and the cooling fan is on continously. Put original back in and all is fine. The ecu came from a 96 850R auto so I would have thought compatability isn't an issue?

    Any ideas?

Have you checked the TT is compatible with your car/original ecu?

Check the compatibility list on the TT website

    It is 4.3.

Well there aren't numbers on the ecu like the normal 0261........ But on their chart it does say a 96 850r auto is compatible with a 96 t5 auto.

Cooling fan on continuous, is usually the sign the ecu has no map installed
As Claymore says, install the map again or try another map.

I'll try that and report back. Would it have fired up at all though if there was no map installed?

Success! I loaded on a standard map and it works fine, for some reason it just doesn't like the turbo tuner supplied map. I will try the one you sent me JT but I have to wait for my registration with turbo tuner to be completed first so I can use the software fully.
