Anyone got a known good one i can try?
Im only seeing 18-21mpg, there or there abouts! Thats steady driving aswel. Should this be cause for concern other than for my wallet!
I checked all boost hoses, inlet, throttle body etc etc but still nothing! If the engine is redhot and you stick your head down the back over the exhaust manifold, rev the car a bit you can smell exhaust fumes, like proper fumes not fumes that have been through a cat converter!
Leaking manifold gasket? Cracked manifold?
This wouldnt stop the car from revving past 5500rpm though, but that is really starting to wind me up, i need it sorting!! Is there any tell tale digns that the ecu has been swapped or played with?
If the ecu has never been touched, there will be a tamperproof screw/bolt holding the lid on the box under the bonnet.
Still certainly sounds vac related to me.
Sounds like it's overfuelling to compensate.
Have you tried spraying carb cleaner or similar around all your inlet/boost/vac hoses while the engine idles?
If the idle changes at any point, you have a leak as it's sucking it in.
You could have a cracked manifold I suppose, but I wouldn't have thought that would stop it booting/revving properly until it had pretty much snapped!
Yeah. I have read about doing a stage 0 on the car but it was serviced and belts etc done before it was fitted into the car, but, the service light is still flashing at me!
Im thinking its vac related aswel, iv got some pipes behind the headlights in that area that arent connected. Are the headlight washers vacuum activated or could this be my problem?
