    New Rubber for the R

Was shocked how much my fronts had wore in the last three months, they have had some abuse but surprised how quick they went, especially as the rears are still three quarters tread. The four were new in Oct last year.
Any how, could not get the same as the rears, Hankook Ventus V12 evo. Had to get a pair of the newer evo2's instead. Paid £220 the pair fitted, which I though was ok. Oponeo have them at £83 delivered only. So far the feel ok, but been taking it easy in the pissing rain!
Yes the rims need a clean, happens tomorrow if weather ok.

I had V12 Evo's on my S60 (front). Grip was very-very impressive dry and wet, but....same as you stated above, didn't last to long. Aprox 10-12k miles... Best of luck with the new Evo2 and hope it will last longer, than the predecessor!

Why are you getting such massive tyre wear on the front?

Are you sure your AWD is working? With the rears on 5-6mm tread and the fronts needing replacing, I'd be concerned.

Guess it's because I drive like a loon. Always bar one car had front or four wheel drives cars. So I have always been a bit hard on the front rubber with my driving style, ie get the front in to the bend early find the grip and boot it out.
Pretty confident that the four wheel drive works, as have had it save me a few times when been over committed. Also got clean bill of health four months back when it at Murray Volvo and it drives the same today. Was concerned I had angle gear problem as I thought I could here a CV like dull grind sound. I was wrong, all tip top, they claimed it was just transmission noise, of normal levels and I was being to picky about my old car. With both fronts wearing at same rate, I am pretty sure I am to blame. Cars running great.
