Hi guys
I have a question re the acceptable tyre size for upgrading to 18" wheels without fouling issues
Firstly I have a 2009 S40 D5 with 17" x 7 et 52.5 "Serapis" rims on, tyres are 205 50 17
I'm looking at fitting an 18" set of "Cratus" rims off a 2012 xc60, same bolt pattern and center bore
The Cratus are 8" wide and have an et of 55, so they will be 2.5mm closer to the strut. My issue really is what width of tyre should I use? I'm thinking 215's as these are standard on the factory 18's but I'm unsure of fouling, or could I get away with 225's
The rolling radius will be fine if I go with a 45 18 tyre as these are fitted to the factory Medusa 18's etc
Just really the width/ offset issue
Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍👍
