mmmm, assuming that bung is for your new IC, I think you mean 'Boost Pressure sensor', not MAP sensor! Otherwise your going to be running into some serious running issues.

    Where exactly does it fit?
Ahh, I see. It is a MAP sensor bung. I guess your replacing ALL the pipework then? Where you putting your BPS, as I can see no port for it on the IC?

Yeah boost pressure it's also called map sensor. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vol...sor-0261230090

It will be getting welded to piping.

I'm going to fast road conversions to get the piping done and intercooler fitted.

    Oh dear.

A MAP sensor is exactly that, a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor, not to be confused with a Boost Pressure Sensor, which is totally different.

The part shown in the link is a BPS which also monitors air temperature.

Your MAP sensor is further along the Boost pipework before your ETM.

Clearly FCP have got their terminology incorrect, but for the purpose of this exercise, YOU must understand the difference between them both. A BPS is NOT also called a MAP sensor.
That's like calling a carrot a potato....You get my drift?

When there's a fault with the BPS, generic code readers show it as a map sensor fault. It essentially does the same thing but in a different place.

Confused the hell outa me when I first had trouble with my bps.

Still haven't got intercooler fitted but I had to see what it would look like while the bumper was off.

It won't look like that. You got it way too low down!

Also the spayed on wording will be hidden behind the bumper bar.

Yeah I know, it will be behind crash bar. I'm not bothered about writing, came with it.

I need to get booked in for the custom piping at fast road conversions.

Don't forget the bonnet catches as they do hang down a bit.

Looking at photo the intercooler will be upside down when fitted. Looks wide then elbows still to be fitted ?.

    So,
    Looking at the pics above,
The Intercooler sits in Front of the Coolant Radiator.
If I was to then fit an External Automatic gearbox Oil Cooler,
would that fit in front of the Intercooler somewhere ?????

Not a hope in hell's chance!

When I fitted my FMIC, I had literally mm's spare top, bottom, front and back.
You will need to retro fit it elsewhere on the front, maybe behind fog lights or something like that. You'll just have to make sure you have the 05> fog light grilles as these have vents between the slats, unlike the early 03-04 models.

Also, you wouldn't want another oil cooler in front of the FMIC anyway...that defeats the object of a FMIC and if you DID do that, then your FMIC would no longer be a true FMIC.
I'd pop over to T5D5 and ask Ashok, as I know he fitted a really nice aftermarket oil cooler on his S60R.

That oil cooler is for the engine oil , but sure it would work well on a gearbox fluid.

For the engine oil Ashok uses a D5 oil cooler on the rear of the sump.
