Behind seat subs on C70 ragtop

    Anyone got these on theirs?

I have them in mine, but they don't seem to do much.
The little switch at the back end of the centre console lights up, but I can't tell any difference with the switch in either position.

Are the subs supposed to boom, or are they actually crap?

The stereo in the S70 thumps in comparison, that's just an SC-805.
The pro-logic systems are supposed to be better, but mine's not

The stereo in the S80 is in another league altogether though.
One thing that's stopping me selling it tbh!

I have C70 GT with the Dolby Pro Logic & rear sub woofers behind the seat. I thought the same thing when I bought mine, considering everyone was praising the stereo in this car. So I decided to do some testing.

    1. Make sure if yours has the amp in the boot, that the fuse hasn't blown.
    2. Subwoofer button in the back is a bit backwards. When it's pushed in and light is on, the rear subs are turned off. I tested this with the back seats out when I was doing my rear shocks. Had to get access with the subs removed.
    3. Make sure the stereo is actually working, thought mine was, everything worked, even the cd cassette. When volume turned up, just sounded muffled and crap. I then bought a cheapish Pioneer double din, fitted it with the x2 cables you need to use existing speakers( Dash Pro Logic will not work) and the Dynaudio speakers sound fantastic. When 12 speakers are working it's very impressive.

There was some guy in another forum that used to fix these stereo's , mine was the 901 btw, I did phone him up to have a chat and he said these stereo's at this age are very susceptible to dry joints inside. He probably could have fixed mine, but there could be a chance that it still wouldn't work properly and the money I spent could have been used on a new one.
    Hope this helps somewhat.
