Anyone used a Fuel Pump repair kit/pattern pump

Has anyone replaced a failing petrol pump with one of these non-standard jobbies, where you have to swap out the pump itself but keep the original plastic basket?

    Any issues with these?

What about uprated pumps (Walbro etc)? What's the cost and fitting like with those? I have to do the pump anyway and I'll prob want to upgrade the turbo etc and shoot for >300bhp with similar sort of spec to MRP's within a few years so perhaps it's worth future proofing?

Still curious about this. Surely someone on here must have some experience with this?!

Walbro is a simple fit into the cage, can't remember which one you need though, give it a Google. Just be aware there are lots of chinese copies about. If it's too cheap it probably is too good to be true.
