    T5 06 Engine Rebuild

    Hi,

I currently have another thread open "Mysterious Coolent Leak", but rather then corrupt that with talk of engine rebuilds I thought I'd start this one. I'm probably getting ahead of my self here, until I find out the cause of my coolent issue... but I wanted to no if anyone has any guides on doing a engine rebuild for a T5 06 and if anyone can advise on how much it would cost to get someone to do and if they know anyone, I'm based in Birmingham.

    Cheers

I've had engine work done by Shemtek in Nottingham, can recommend him. Tim Williams is also in that area although I've never used him directly he's done work on 2 cars I've owned & has a very good reputation

Either that or break out the Haynes manual!!!

To do a refresh, bearings, water pump, cam belt kit, piston rings, stem seals and valve clearances the parts come to about £1000.

I wouldn't advise rebuilding an engine that has an undiagnosed problem.
