    Nice choice!
We traded the XC60 for the measly 6.2 version. Awesome cars. I bet you'll never want to let it go
Get thee to a tunnel! I couldn't believe the noise the first time I did it. Sunroof and windows open and gun it in 2nd. Small explosion when it shifts up into 3rd!
...damn it! I've become an AMG bore in a single post!

Only 311bhp and N/A, so quite tame compared to the German beasts.

Just wondering if you decided on a warranty for the car.
Mine came with Safe and Sound (Sterling Moss). Dealer seems very happy with using them and it does seem, on paper at least, fairly comprehensive. I'll see how I get on when I need to claim something though.
Looking at £1300 for 3 years I think.

...and damn you for linking to the aftermarket splitters! I wasn't lusting after any mods until I saw that link.

I never did get an extended warranty. So far so good. I'll check that warranty out though, £1300 for 3 years seems really good!

It went to a local specialist (Pentangle) for it's MOT and a service last month. I also had the gearbox oil changed 6 months ahead of schedule just to keep on top of things. It's also had 4 new tyres since I bought it. It's been 100% spot on. I absolutely love it! Bit extravagant for a daily driver to get me the 10 minutes to work about back everyday! But it's also become the family wagon on the weekends, I rarely drive the Mrs XC90 now.

I have so far resisted the urge to modify it. I bought an aftermarket grill (which I can just see you have one), and haven't even fitted that yet! I was chatting to a friend of a friend who has had his tuned at MSL to 740bhp and 900ftlbs!! That must be insane!!

Mine is going in for a service B next week, gulp!

I hadn't realised that the grille on mine wasn't standard. I've seen so many pics with the same grille, were they an option?

If you'rs can put out 620bhp that must feel bonkers!

I got some quotes on discs and pads, as I nearly took the Merc to the ring last year. The best price I found for genuine stuff was from a dealer up north somewhere, it was circa £1400 for a complete set of discs/pads/wear sensors for front & rears. And I think mine might be different, having the Performance package. Plus fitting obviously. I was actually pleasantly surprised, I thought it would be much more.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the grill on mine is the only one they did. Yours looks like it might be the same one I bought?

Mine was a service B, was around £400 including brake fluid. The Gearbox oil change was £260.

I paid £800 for an Inspection II on my old E46 M3, so I was well happy with that!

Not this time hopefully. MOT in September may be a different story though.

    Around £1500 seems average.

And the Focus in the background cost us less than the aforementioned discs and pads are going to!

    Ha Ha.

Grill looks like the same one. I got reprimanded on the MB forum when I said about fitting it, as double badging is considered a big no no! But I like it personally.

Great, now you've pointed that out I'm not sure I like it.
Can I go flat bonnet badge and get rid of the gunsight?

I remember having a conversation with you ages ago, and you were telling me your Dad's XFR was scary in the wet, and you'd go 4WD (Audi), and now you have a RWD car with over 100BHP more than your Dad's Jag lol. Exactly how scary is it?

It is nowhere near as twitchy as the old mans jag. I do take a lot of liberties with the traction, you just can't ££££ it up! Full throttle in the wet, straight, bends, whatever it just sorts it out for you!!

The traction does look after you. I'm sure I can feel it intervening on occasion way before it flashes the yellow 'calm down' light at you.
I got back in the E39 M5 for a final blast the night before it was sold and that felt so much more raw and liable to bite you.

...I haven't pressed the traction button even once yet.
Did that in the M5 in a straight line only once. I was cautious in 1st and 2nd, then felt safe in 3rd and went sideways. I am clearly no genius behind the wheel. I'll settle for the electronics looking after me.

It was Mercedes Benz of Edinburgh, via eBay! They quoted me £1,319, for a full set of fronts and rears.
