Thanks Harvey, but as mentioned above the volvotech bt module is for music only. I need to step back and think about the options.

The Parrot Asteriod Mini is working fine, however I'm not happy with the sound quality at all. Also it is no longer supported, no developments, no firmware updates etc. Parrot ditched the Asteroid Mini and the Tablet series which is a shame...

    The issues:
It doesn't distribute the volume to the speakers equally. Rear is stronger, no matter what I do with the custom settings.
The front passenger speakers have an overdrive issue. I know the speakers are fine as once using the HU (radio or CD) everything works as should.
Lastly, time by time the parrot unit remains powered on, after the ignition was switched off. So I have to manually force to switch it off. Not a biggie, but still annoying for sure.

I have nothing but positive experience with the iMIV classic. Sound quality is excellent, no glitches etc but.......no hands-free option

Selling the iMiV + the Parrot and go for the Bluepower ARM unit would be an option. But... I don't really want any aftermarket head-unit, plus loads of negative feedback. (mainly from the ss forum)

Ask yourself this. Do I really need handsfree for the phone? Do people really call me when I'm driving that much to justify the outlay on a full on handsfree kit?

If the answers are mostly 'no', then just get the iMiV.

With the set up I have in the Brodit charging dock, If my phone rings, it automatically mutes the music anyway, so I just 'answer' followed by 'speaker' and then I can talk to who ever it is, hands free, with them on loud speaker.

    Thanks Lee!

    I'll think about it.
As far as things are going right now the answer is yes for the handsfree functionality.
The next 2 weeks will check how much I'm actually using it and see it from there.
The plan is to use a similar approach, when I was thinking about to buy a new lens for my DSLR. (Check the avg focal length range, avg aperture range for a period)
