Just noticed when looking through old receipts that my car had a replacement stereo head unit two years ago at a cost of £549+vat. Find it strange old owner would pay this for a stereo and not attempt repair of RTI.

    Knowledge is power!!

After the previous owner recovered from the refurbished head unit cost, he would have had a minor heart attack when they told him how much an RTi unit and screen was. Figure would have been 4 numbers long.
That's probably why he didn't bother and obviously did not know that they can be repaired by Super geeks that work in Radio shops.

RTI and screen refitted today. Sat Nav works a treat although the remote is goosed, but TV remote works. So off to look for a remote on ebay now that I have just purchased my IMIV online. I love it when a plan comes together!!!
Thanks to LeeT5 for the contact for fixing the RTI, needed a circuitboard repair.

I have a remote but never use it as the controls on the back of the steering wheel works well.

You should be done with it within a hour or so Enjoy, really great stuff!
2 days ago, I started missing it. Unfortunately I gave it away with my old S60.
I might ask the new owner to sell it back to me as she isn't using it at all.

So been super busy and forgot about the update. Imiv sorted fitted, 20mins, kids love it, wife loves it. The sounds from our iPads and iPhones is immense. So happy I bought the sub woofer.

Next job, locating and fitting two front struts.

At the moment only using the bluetooth, but the kid wants me to run the cable so he can get his videos on screen. It's not priority for me so can wait for now.

    Thread resurrection

I got my old iMIV classic back from my friend. Can you guys shed some light regarding the BT module from volvotech.eu? (https://www.volvotech.eu/imivbluetoo...arch=bluetooth)

I assume it is a full functionality BT extender and not just for playing music, e.g. for calls too. Correct?
Currently I have a Parrot Asteriod Mini which does the job, however I'm not happy with the sound quality, plus its no longer supported. So I'm looking to switch back to the iMIV but only if this BT module can support phone calls.
    Unit Hu-603.

Also it isn't clear for me, how the charging function works, once the extender connected to the iPod Cable....

    Thanks!

Bob from volvotech.eu confirmed, the bt module is for music play only.
So I have to keep the parrot for phone calls and use the imiv for audio playback.

Just plug it in and search for it with your phone works well for me.
Just have to charge your phone before you use it or just use the standard car fag charger.
