    S60R Driveshaft bolt advice needed

    Hi Guys,i'm having problems with the drive shaft bolts coming loose,any tips or any advice if there is upgraded ones etc

    Clean the threads and Loctite them.

    I can't remember the exact threadlock that I used but it was a Loctite product that was tolerant of oil. Don't use stud or bearing fit.

    This has kept mine quiet since I got the car a year ago.

    I used Loctite 243.

    thanks for the advice, i think i will invest in new bolts and get some of the locktite glue

    The XC90 bolts are used to stop the axle ping noise, Eg when you change direction forward then reverse, also if they come loose

    They have a rubber cone with washers bonded to it. Here's some photos.

    got the bolts loctite in,now i have a scraping noise when going around some tightish corners.....sounds like something is rubbing but cant see anything.the same is happening to my brothers V70. i think its time to sell and buy something sensible!!

    18's wearing 235/40 tyres will rub on extreme lock, it is why there is an extra plate on the inside of the wheel arch.

    If the noise is only on full lock, it's just rubbing, all P2s do it.
