    T4s, talk to me.

Ok, so I'm planning a T4 based project.
    Well, a 400 series, T4 shaped project!

Found myself a nice shell, so in a little while (once the bank balance has recovered) I'll start looking for a rotton/smashed T4 for the rest of the stuff I need.

My target is around 250-ish bhp, as I think that would make a decent power to weight ratio at around 225bhp to the tonne.

    So, my question:
Which would I be better going for - P1 or 2?

I'm told the 1.9 is a stronger engine, but mapping can be a problem. Although it would possibly be the easier, less complex route.
Is the 2.0 not capable of 250bhp without serious supporting mods?

All thoughts welcome, even those that may wish to call me an idiot.
I already know that, so water off a duck's back there!

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Lol, oh yeah!

If you bother recovering it, I may have it off you.

Wouldn't be for a bit though.

Hmm... I'd have thought Frankie's sold that by now.

You could have it for nowt if I could get it back without paying crazy storage fees etc. Probably fubar'd now though. It was a sign for me to forget the T4 conversion! But i'd say go for it, don't worry about the mapping for now just get something up & running then maybe swap ECU (standalone??) if you keep the car

A 2.0 will be fine at 250bhp. It is actually a better option as the phase 1 will be at the limit of stock injectors at 250bhp. You will need a remap, exhaust and and maybe a better intercooler. At a push the stock 14T turbo will give you 250. So no need to swap turbos IMO.

You need a chopped manifold or an adaptor plate for an 18T and a modded downpipe flange.

    Erm... Ok.

Seeing as you're a little greedy, do you want to give me one of your engines?
