Looking good mate , sorry to hear about the health issues I am glad it's improving for you and you are making progress with your motor. I love the dark colours, they come up so well, my v70 is that crappy green blue metallic and no matter how much it is polished and waxed it really just looks the same. The C70 is dark red metallic and it comes up like a Ruby .

One of the guys on here , I think it is Acidicdavey has one the same colour as yours , and it comes up like dark blue Mercury when he gets stuck into it in the summer .he whole car looks like liquid. Happy daze mate . My wife went through chemo and radiotherapy a few years back and it was no fun at all .
I tried some of the Poorboys Black hole stuff on my C70 following his advice, and it is the dogs bullhorns on dark paintwork, different league.

I use meguires paste wax it's a pita to apply but it lasts really well. But the black hole stuff is just different class.
My C70 is a 2.0 lpt , the v70 is a T5, the ragtop cruises nicely at the weekend but the T5 does all the fast mileage during the week. I can't see mere placing either of them ever, between them they tick all the boxes.

Be very careful with 100W bulbs, they made the wiring very brittle on my old 855R.

A set of HID's from Ebay are less than £20 delivered.

Still unable to get anything done with weather so did some more ordering , repair kits for front and rear calipers including pistons , handbrake shoes ,handbrake shoe fitting kit , pair of front back plates ,a set of subframe poly bushes and 5 lts of brake fluid ,
thinking about a set of front and rear Piranha grooved and dimpled discs with pads at £170 along with Goodridge braided hoses at £75
thought about coilovers but have driven a vectra with them and seemed very harsh any one fitted them to a V70 ?

I haven't personally got coilovers on mine as I'm still saving for them, however a friend of mine has KW 2 coilovers on his V70 and the ride is phenomenal. It rides like you would expect a proper sports car to ride Infact it's very similar to my old e46 M3 to give you a comparison. However at about £1200 for the set they're not cheap.

I know Volvos are tanks, but 2 litres should nail a good flush!
