Driver Door lock and window

A problem just occurred in the last couple of days with my 03 Volvo V70 T5. I unlock the car with my key fob and the driver door won't unlock, i have to do it manually!

Once in the car I also noticed that the window to the driver door would not respond to the button control and I was unable to get out of the car on my side because the inside lock would not work.

I have changed the fuse in the vain hope that this might remedy it and you've guessed the outcome. I have booked the car into a reputable garage in Tooting, but wonder exactly what may be wrong with this door! Could I , for instance, fix it myself?

Prob a sticky or failing motor on the drivers door central locking assembly, prob best to pick one up from a breakers and fit yourself (I had the same problem with a tailgate lock) - This took me under an hour with no knowledge of what I was doing, so you should be OK.
