    Loss of battery charge

Right then guys I'm having a slight issue with the battery on the Turk
New battery fitted in April and was great started everyday and driven every week
No all of a sudden I'm losing charge
The alternator is ok but battery now not even holding charge
Had a replacement but not fitting as something is making it lose charge and don't wanna mess up a second brand new one
I know there are issues with boot light so disconnected that but to no avail
Anything else on these that anyone has come across that is common issues with these losing charge?

    Thanks in advance folks

Use a multimeter (in series with the +ve connector) to measure current whilst car is switched off. Not sure what readings are considrered normal though!

A quick google has suggested normal draw would be 50mA.

If it's higher than that, then start pulling fuses until it drops! Should help isolate the problem area.

I had the same issue with my C70 ragtop. Clan on that other lesser Volvo forum suggested that there was a known software issue with cabriolet s that causes the roof control module to gradually drain the battery over a few days. It might be worth checking with the stealers as there is a software fix available if this is the problem
