    Re update

Ok today I adjusted the handbrake by adjusting first the rear shoes which to be honest one side seemed more positive than the other but one done the handbrake seemed to adjust itself and I then retightened it afterwards so a couple of clicks started to bind the rear wheels. It seems to work well but maybe it's me but one side seems a little better than the other.
Also checks the sensors with an ohm meter which al4 where in the correct resistance. I drove the car done the road and the abs went out and the tracks button switched on and off by itself but after a half hour it returned so I'm thinking maybe it's the front rings?
My brother brought home his works snap on obd2 meter which as a nice bit of kit but it didn't read my abs issue so I will have to look at the surface of the front sensors and rings. Any Input greatly accepted.

You need to get it plugged in with some software that reads the abs codes dude. You could be chasing your arse changing the rings.
The soldered joints in the abs ecu can dry out & cause all kinds of issues.
I had many with my old awd & it's quicker, cheaper & easier just to get it plugged in. If the diagnostic just says one fault fair enough but if it comes up with multiple then I'm betting it's the brain.

Cracked rings are fairly easy to spot, get a really bright torch and rotate them slowly you are looking for the hairline crack . If you can induce the abs light coming on by giving it some welly it's probably the rings.

You need VOL-FCR or a Volvo scan tool.

    Where are you?
