    Proper lsd's for 940

I will be buying myself another 940 very shortly which I intend to modify. The last time I owned one part of the reason for selling was the lack of diff options available. I have found a company who specialise in LSD's, they do not currently produce a model for the 940 but told me if there was enough interest they could develop one. I was told they would need 10 potential buyers to warrant development and production. Would anyone here be interested provisionally in having a proper LSD for their 940? I have no idea on what price would be at the moment but could probably get a ballpark figure. I'm just trying to get an idea at the moment if it would be popular enough....express any thoughts in the thread...

The thought of a proper diff on my 240 turbo is nice! But the thought of the potential cost is not!

Without sounding chav-ish, is welding the existing diff an option?

I wonder why there's so little for the 940 as they can't be all that different from the 240's, or modified easily to fit?

Most people just fit a 1041 g80 locker that comes standard on a 940 and with a simple diff mod can lock both axles in up to what ever speed u want .u can also get a truetrac from America too .

I was looking into a g80 and was talking with Shem, who said have a look on YouTube for some g80 vids. He was sure there were showing how good they are, but I failed to find any.

I keep looking at local breakers I think they've crush a couple of 940s with 1081s

Hey Smithy...good to be back here!
I didn't realise the locking mod could do this....I thought it just made the diff lock up for a bit longer? The car will be used for occasional drift days so I need something which will lock for as long as required! I forgot about those Dana truetracs, isn't that more of a helical lsd?

The locker only locks in if one wheel spins up, up to around 11mph or something lame.
Once it's locked though, if you keep your foot in and can get through the gears quick enough, it stays locked. Epic fun on wet (private) roundabouts.

The mod is to file down the pawl that governs it's locking speed, so it'll lock in at any speed

I'm pretty sure the 940 sport edition had an lsd , don't quote me on that though.
    No had the g80 apparently
