    S60 drivers power seat failure

I had the seat reclined tonight whilst waiting for Adrienne to come back from the shops, I put the seat back up then she said she wanted to drive but when she tried moving the seat forward it wouldn't move. It wont move in any direction now and I can hear the seat clicking, the mirrors will move when I push the pre set buttons so there is obviously power. How can I check the motor and is it easy to access? worst case scenario I will have to rob the motor from the R because she will need the car for work on Monday.

Onto another thing, last night all the lights round the stereo display decided to give up the ghost, I find it hard to believe all have went at once, what could I check?

    Thanks
    Martyn

Hope I haven't jinxed it by telling you the last time you were over there was a complete set of motors etc for your old R in the garage.
Was it not the control box under the seat that went on the old 850,it had the same problem?

I thought yours just stopped moving in one direction? Didn't you change the whole base?
    Thanks

Martyn what year is your car? I have a V40 03 diesel with a power seat I can check to see if the motors are the same number as yours if you like?

Cheers Gary I got it sorted, my dad had an old button unit for a P1 so that was the problem, no idea why they where clicking if it was faulty... Just glad that's it sorted, I started searching for a new seat.
    Thanks

Do you mean the switch pack on the driver's door, which I believe is also known as the 'Driver's Door Module'.
Interestingly, did you check on VIDA to see if you had/have any [DDM ****] fault codes logged?
So what did you replace mate?
