1997 V70 rear electric windows not working

1997 V70 rear electric windows not working since I bought the car.

Is there a relay or something that might be causing this?

I 'think' they work through the driver's window switch pack, maybe it is faulty? It's a common failing in one sense or another.

What AcidicDavey said. Every p1 V70 that I've owned has had a driver's door window switch pack issue. Do you know anyone that you could try their pack before you buy?

Is this the case with c70 2003 too, on mine you can put the passengers window down but not up from the passengers window switch, and up but not down from the drivers side, the collective down and up on the drivers switches works perfectly.
I changed out the passenger side switch to no avail.

My C70 passenger door window is also dodgey when using the driver's door switch pack. Sometimes it won't go down at all, but whenever it does go down, it never fails to close again. Warm weather seems to make it work better...............

The switch in the passenger door is fine, so it's the driver's door switch pack on my C70 as well.

Looks like the right one Davey, mine doesn't have a child lock function but I guess that won't matter . PM on its way.

    Nice one guys!

I'll have to get a new one, which is unfortunate because then it won't match the rest of the decaying, ratty looking ones lol.

There's usually used ones kicking around if you post up a wanted thread. Sometimes on the bay as well, and tested. Where are you joi?

Hi Davey, received a box of fishy cat food today, which unfortunately contained a door switch
    And no fish....
Thanks for your speedy service mate , the switch looks great and is in considerably nicer condition than mine which is doing that slow dissolving thing, what on earth did they make the buttons out of ? Toffee.
I will fit it tomorrow and report back if it cures the window problem. If I can just get mrs Orca to stop reversing it into my V70 this C70 will be damn near perfect.

    Cheers mate
    Orca

No its Mrs Orcas reversing thats causing the problem, she whacked my V70 so hard the other day I heard it from inside the house, Im gonna fit one of those wee cameras at the weekend, at least she will have a clear view of the damage she will continue to inflict.

For what it is worth I have had success in the past taking these apart and cleaning them.

Providing the switch action is OK they suffer from a build up of fluff between the contacts.

If the switch action is shot as well you can remove the switch and replace it with one from another door.

It is fiddly but it can be done.
