    Replacing oil cooler

    The engine oil cooler has gone on my 1999 V70 R AWD, is it possible/worth replacing with an upgraded unit instead of a standard unit.

    The D5 oil cooler is an upgrade on the standard oil cooler.

    1996 850 T5 AWD - Self tuned M4.4 ECU with COP`s, B5254T ( S60R internals in a 850 block ) ostrich 2.0 , VXR injectors @ 3.8 bar, K24 turbo with a 6+6 compressor wheel, 3.25" MAF, top mounted Dump Valve, RN Exhaust manifold, 3" downpipe with 200 cell cat, 2.75" Stainless exhaust, Brembo calipers, S60R brake discs, stainless RIP kit, 3" Throttle body,

    wow only just realized that's on the back of the engine on this model....lol only owned it for four and a half years odd and never noticed that... still prefer it to be a separated unit to avoid any possible cross contamination of oils and water.

    I've got a separate 19 row one here for the green bitch, but it will be after retro before it gets fitted, not risking any oil leaks this close to the gathering just in case

    i changed mine to a D5 one
    check my ginge project thread and the pics are on there to show differences in size
