Car shipping

Does any one happen to know the process of what happens I'm looking into shipping a car from the usa to the UK but I have absolutely no idea of where or what to use any help would be appreciated.

I know a guy that's just got a VW beetle 1949 year keeps saying it's the year to have..
He used a shipping agent in Bristol and when it turned up at the docks he went and got it, not sure what it cost as the Mrs thinks it's it was in the uk...

Pmsl at the misses thinking it's from the UK I've managed to get talking to a guy who does this sort of thing looks about $900 for shipping
