    Back after a dirty affair

    Hi,
Been away from the volvo scene for about 5 years after getting my head turned by vw tdi's and a Skoda Octavia vrs.

Got that 'feeling of regret' about my affair now, and although I still can't afford the fuel bills that went along with my old 850 & c70 t5s, I am seriously thinking of getting rid of my trusty vw bora tdi for an s60 d5. Have been looking at prices and will be looking at buying between an 05 plate and 08 plate.

Question is what issues should I aware of/looking for when buying privately?

Cheers for any help you can offer
    Chris
When your bank statement says you've spent too much just think "You can live in your T5, but you can't race your house!"

Welcome back. I'm sure we can find it in or hearts to forgive you lol.

Can't help in the D5 front, but I'm sure someone will be along soon with some advice.

That and the DPF, just get a T5, and an oil company.

I'm sure the Fordson Major ran on TVO, and not diesel Colin.

No, I'm a townie, someone I knew many years ago had a Fordson, which ran on TVO, obviously wasn't a Major.

Biggest thing I remember was blown intercoolers on cars over five years old. It's fairly cheap and an easy job to do however.

Have a good feel of the clutch too, a dual mass and clutch will see little change from a grand.
