Yup, that's what I have... and as far as I know, that's what the kit contains however I could be very much mistaken. Though Christ knows how your man on T5D5 managed to use them in that case?

I'm either having a properly blonde moment and will be looking very silly, very soon... or.... errr...

I'd be inclined to agree... they are 9 x 26 x 8 so are much nearer the size of the cable ends.

That said, I'd need to remove the rubber bush and measure the internal diameter of the ring on the cable end and then measure the spindle on the box (unless anybody knows?)

I'm still at a loss as to how your man on T5D5 used 606-RS bearings... or maybe he didn't, maybe it's all a cunning scam to throw us off the scent.

Mmm I think I found the thread you were talking about on T5D5:

    http://forums.t5d5.org/topic/11240-n...inkage-bushes/

Maybe it's my eyes, but the bearing does have the number you mention but the ID hole look bigger than 6mm?

Also found this on the MR2 forums, quite handy:

Also found this (yes, busy day at work..) which is discussing the bushes / bearings for an MR2 which has the same size cables as the 850...

I was looking into these bushings for replacements of my stock ones which are shot. I need you guys help in determining which ones are better and why Ill list the ones I'm looking at. I hear about the shifter cables snapping and I wanna avoid that but at the same time have the smoothest most accurate shifting as possible. Btw I have some Red Line Synthetic Max Gear Transmission Oil MT-90 GL-4 75W90 on the way which I think should help

    2. 108 Swivel Bearing 8 x 22 x 7 mm VXB Metric Bearings | eBay

So it would suggest the 850 bearings are 8 x 22 (int / ext diameters)

Then... I went Googling and found a 608-2RS meets these specs as found here:

    http://www.bearing-king.co.uk/bearin...get-brand/4789

Soooo, it would seems my failing eyesight / excess knuckle shuffling / piss poor attention span has perhaps (probably) read the part numbers wrong and indeed it sould be 608-2RS bearings and NOT 606-2RS bearings as I initially thought.

I'll be over here... in the corner.

P.s, don't quote me on any of this!

Pretty much tallies with the MR2 related post above.

On that basis, these (629-2RS) should in theory suit cars with P2 / bigger cables...

Thanks Dave for the updates - Although it seems to confirm I won't be needing your bearings after all.

PS - It looks like a 6 in the photo to me too!

Anybody bought the eBay kit and confirm the part number of the bearings supplied?

    This makes no sense!
I've used this kit on my standard 850 1995 m56 gearbox and it fitted ok http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2...-/301231758344 - I bought the stainless washers listed on the first link in this post but preferred the brass ones.

All my manuals have the Toyota bushes and iirc all the Toyota seem to have a common bush so doesn't necessarily have to be a mr2 bush

I ordered 4 of these yesterday, they arrived today, a bit tight on the cable, but perfect for the job, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top of each cable.
    so 4 for each gearbox.

But again, these would only suit 850's with the smaller diameter cable ends.

I've temporarily bodged mine with some off cuts of rubber jammed in the voids and glued in place... it'll help matters until I find a permanent solution.

    Like an Audi S4...
