Hi I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the difference between the engines in the v70r and v70t s engines as they are both 2.5 but the R runs 300bhp where as the T S runs 210 bhp, would. Simple map make up the difference?
Cheers Tom

As posted in your other thread, turbo, map and intercooler. I think the traction control would be working overtime with just FWD though. lol
Cheers I put on both will remove this now, definitely interested in the v70r in that link. Like you say tatty round the edges but had a bit of work recently. Just need to get hold of him
Mainly the rear bumper that needs attention I.i.r.c.
What are they like for mileage these wagons? I don't really know much about the volvos at all other than they're built like tanks. Sorry for all the questions
Just found one with 270k on
My 2005 ex plod T5 has 264k on it and still going strong
Ex Police V70 T5 SE now scrapped.
Daily driver V60 D3 R-design
2004 C70 2.4T GT, modifications front strut brace, 19" Peg reps with white lettered tires.
Thanks guys for the vote of confidence, just waiting on the guy to back hopefully
TBH if you're looking at a V70R with that mileage, it has to be cheap, and have a very good history.
Sorry didn't mean for sale, was just looking for life span, waiting for the guy to get back to me who's selling his on here, 107k sounds like it's just worn in lol
if you dont mind having a 2wd volvo id look at the p2 volvos preferably after 2004 with the 2.4 t5 engine they go every well with just a remap
theres alot more torque in a d5
I wouldn't mind the 2.4 t5 but the only ones I can find are automatic and heard horror stories about the box when not flushed every 40k, it can be a car killer so that sort of put me off the auto. The one I did like had already been sold. Seem to be going round in circles at the minute
Cheers Stribo, picked the v70r up on Tuesday from that link you gave me. Really clean car with ££££'s in receipts for work carried out. well happy with it. So I'm now officially a Volvo nut
