more updates, been a long time since i did this so still catching up! so after doing nearly a entire winter ruining my american quads i discovered something. my 740 E code headlight protectors fit perfectly.... so put them in the car for next time i washed the front, got a flat at work so that sucked a lil.

went over to johns to install my 100A alternator and a small bodge later (and some rewiring) we were away, with my new headlight protectors also installed to road test them, on the way home noted the alternator gauge sits noticably higher so its doing something. gave the car a good wash all over and metal polished some parts, doing this also noted some nice bulkhead seam rust thats happening. lovely....

then back to cold winter driving for a while and a measure up for some possible spotlights swedish style. thinking the size of a foglight maybe, i dunno will see where it goes

continuing on from the last update, after then there was a period of not much happened to it, mainly daily duty's tip runs and a trip out to the north york wilderness to pick up some doors for my 240 project, got all my switches lighting up finally after a while of "Ill do that sometime".

gave the car a good polish and valet so obiously it horses it down as soon as i had done that but went n got some "ok" pictures of it over by hudders, rolled over 185K and then my presents from the dealer came, a genuine electric antenna mast and a turbo air ducting to fit onto the 7

lord im so bad keeping these things up to date. a while behined again! anyway.

shortly after getting everything to a ok standard in my head my M47 decided to throw me a curve ball and completely die with weird symptoms. it ground going into gears, ground when the clutch was depressed, randomly clacked n sounded like metal balls smacking around the bell housing, so decided to M90 swap it with parts from my project 940 spare box and some parts from a freind.

the swap was far from stress free, but in the end it was completed and the car drives fine, much nicer box the M90 in my opinnion and the shorter throw is a lot nicer too, the RMS was leaking so i replaced that along with the clutch/gearbox job, i used the original dogdish Kjet flywheel, diesel M90 clutch kit and spaced the pivot the slight you need to make it work.

small update just getting back up to speed with things (will take a while)

after the M90 was proved to be working and normal service resumed i gave it another wash and got the interior to how i wanted it to look, and my package from america arrived with my new radio seutp. the one ive had troubles getting for nearly a year now! UK customs wrecked a lot of them as you can see by the pics, but will salvage what i can and continue from there.

Looking good bud, too nice for a daily

Wow, customs really did a number on those radios. Is there a complaints/claims procedure?

The first setup with the digital EQ looks the best
1996 Olive Green 850 AWD - Follow the Project - Forged rods, 19T, big blue injectors, 960 TB, 3.25" MAF, Ostrich, 608 binary, arduino data display, active exhaust control with Focus RS tips, 320mm front brake conversion.
1996 Nautic Blue 850 AWD - Failed its MOT, now it's a donor for the green thing.
2004 Sapphire Black S60 D5 - The new daily hack.

more old updates been busy with life and such again so still catching up, after assessing what was usable on the radios i slowly in the background started to gather codes and making them actually work.

gave the car a good wash for a local show and dosent scrub up bad for 28 years old, had a day of sitting getting each radio out of "off" mode and seeing what ones work lighting wise, and what ones were total duds.

and fitted my cd autochanger on the same day, during this discovered a huge lake in my car + did some rear boot floor bodging to keep it living for a few years untill the 240 takes over, fitting the 780 radio box was fairly easy, it had to be slightly modified to make fit over my relays as euro cars have a lot more than american cars (dim dip etc etc)

finally got one radio working and painted the EQ buttons black to match. more to come later.

contining on from last time, got the radio all in and working powered up, EQ dances etc etc but quickly discovered i hated not having the lighting circuit working, so it was in for one VT meet (that i took literally 1 picture at) then taken out and replaced with my 760 radio setup that worked (another one off ebay as the first one was dead) and turns out. didnt fit

cause volvo changed it by 3mm thanks volvo! after that got some more parts for it from the main stealer, and went on a engine pulling mission to mr chesh's this is the engine that will be used in the re-shelling project of this car B230FT but coupled to a autobox and 140K on the clock, usualy auto's are less thrashed.

the car handled it with ease the way there and back up the A1 all be it sat a bit low. also got my radio back from the repair shop and we have light! only white atm as i need some green bulb caps, and i wired the EQ rheostat wiring up in reverse so it dosent light but ya know. small issues.
