Power steering pump noises

Hey guys I just noticed that my power steering pump appears to be making a sort of chirping noise when idling, It does speed up slightly if you turn the wheel at stand still. It's not the loudest noise in the world but I just wondered what could be causing it? Do you think it needs a fluid change or is this normally a sign that the pump is on it way out?

i think the pump is on the way out,my brother has just had his replaced on his v70 as it was chirping on idle from start up.

I suspected as much thanks for that though I'll look into how much a new one is
