v70 t5 Values?

Looking for a rough value for a t5 im looking to buy, without photos im hoping you guys can give me a rough guess to if the price is right.

Cars a 2000 v70 T5 In white with no Mot and im looking at £670. Ive been looking for an R or t5 and prices seem to be abit everywhere some cheap some stupidly over priced.

car has 170k on it and no history is mentioned but im thinking its too cheap to pass up, even if it is a dog it could likely be broken for that money.

Just after other opinions as my family all think im mad for buying all these volvos

with no MOT if it's an early shape then I would value it at £350 to £400, if it's the new shape, then I wouldn't touch it, if it's an auto then I wouldn't bother with either if it doesn't have an mot.

I would say it mostly depends on the bodywork. If it's very good body wise then you can always sort the mechanicals over time. If you buy a a dented and scratched one you will never be happy with it.

hard going by photos it all appears straight but I'll go up and see it before hand I'll go upload a photo if I can!

it's still a p1 model, manual only downside being a later model it will be me7 I believe. I'm looking for a keeper so whatever needs doing will be sorted.

I miss that 5 pot symphony since getting rid of my 850

It'll be an ex plod and without an mot (you don't know how much is wrong with it - probably throttle and speedo, totalling over a grand to fix) it's worth scrap money at best. I'd avoid it.

General consensus is avoid like the plague, I'll perhaps keep looking for a good R with Mot and history.

Seen this many of times over the years people buy cheap t5's and end up spending a fortune fixing it and still never getting the right just put the extra to and buy a good car

As it's a P1 (2000 being a crossover year) and not a P2 as I suspected, it may not be a plodder and there's less chance if it having speedo trouble. Service parts will be cheaper too. Offer 300 - you'll make that back if you have to break it.

I would personally avoid it as it has no MOT and looks modified to a degree. Don't get me wrong, I have always modified and bought modified cars but they have always had MOT and if they don't then god knows what gremlins could be lurking!
