    97 V70 LED upgrade

I've already changed my front side lights and number plate lights to LED's well SMD's to be precise so I thought I'd do the interior. I only actually took one before picture but you'll get the idea from that so much brighter now

Before: all yellow and quite dull

Same rear light but with the new bulb

    New Boot light

    New knee level lights

    Finally new front courtesy lights

Just got to do the glovebox and they're all done, sorry about the crap pics they were just taken on my iPhone as it was all I had to hand

I changed all mine in my old R. Made a cracking difference but I found the led bulbs were pap & kept failing, rather annoying when you have to keep taking your dash apart to replace bulbs.
If I could get some decent bulbs I'd defiantly do it to this one. Yours look great.
I have led bulbs in my headlights, main beam, sidelights & number plate lights & they look great.

I do like LEDs, but I prefer the warm light of incandescents in the cabin. I haven't tried the "warm white" LEDs yet though.

Didn't you get a "bulb failure" error light with LED sidelights and main beam Biff? (Can you even see with an LED main beam?)

I've got them in my fog lights too and I must admit there more for looks than actually producing light as they're quite crap at that lol, God knows what they're like as a headlight bulb. Biff the SMD bulbs I use touch wood have rarely failed on me the ones in the knee lights have been in 2 other cars, but I think that's because they're SMD bulbs now not LED as I remember LED bulbs I used years ago used to fail all the time in my front sidelights.

I have the cree style headlights, 50w dipped & 80w main with 80w fog light bulbs also. I wouldn't say they were brilliant but they were the same as the original bulbs in the headlights. I did need a set of resistors for the headlights but not sides.. I do get the bulb failure when my beams are on but I'm not bothered about that.
I will upgrade to hids before winter if the t5 is back on the road by then.
