When I came back in last night I built the front brakes back up so that's now new discs and pads.

Had a hour today and got all the front end mechanical work done bar the seals in steering rack I striped the front suspension to fine the knocking and it was down to the left strut top bolt being loose.
Hopefully on Tues I can sort the rear brakes and adjust the hand brake and also a set of new rear shocks then all that's left is underseal.

    Glad this has been rescued.

Jay offered it me at one point, and to be honest I'm glad I didn't take it on, but only because I wouldn't have been able to lavish it with the attention that you have Pete.

Top work that man, many would have considered it too far gone and broken it.

No worries fella, thanks for that. Yes there was stuff that I was surprised about but tbf sitting for a few months over the winter didn't help either. Peter is bringing it up nice now so no harm done and another one saved.

Good to see another one being saved mate, as you say most would have scrapped it, but some have to be saved. We've done the same with the V70R, we bought it knowing it needed work, but probably weren't aware how much, it's since had a replacement auto box, new rad, new front wishbones, new track rod end, new heater matrix, new cam seals, new ignition system etc. It was worth saving though, just a shame we'll be selling it soon.
