Vac pipe attached to water pipe

Can someone please tell me what the metal vac pipe that's attached to the large water pipe on the back of the engine is supposed to attach to? I started putting stuff back together tonight and then realised that one end was choroded so badly it was hanging off. I'm going to use some silicone hose but I've no idea where the other end goes to, someone seems to think it may go to the fuel pressure reg that sits down by the steering rack?

It goes to the fuel pressure regulator down the back of the engine. That little metal pipe follows the water pipe along the back of the block then down towards the FPR via another rubber pipe.

I think it is for removing condensation that builds up due to the FPRs location down the back of the engine and distance from the manifold. It is only a very tiny diameter as not to unbalance the vacuum line from the manifold.

And the other end goes to the intake pipe, after the MAF.
