To be honest you will never get the best from hardware without supporting software. I wouldn't let the map limit your choice.

I've run a 19T with whites and blues on a hlm map, both were over fueling to a point where it would fail the mot on emissions.

I now run a K24 with greens on a map that I've written.

1996 850 T5 AWD - Self tuned M4.4 ECU with COP`s, B5254T ( S60R internals in a 850 block ) ostrich 2.0 , VXR injectors @ 3.8 bar, K24 turbo with a 6+6 compressor wheel, 3.25" MAF, top mounted Dump Valve, RN Exhaust manifold, 3" downpipe with 200 cell cat, 2.75" Stainless exhaust, Brembo calipers, S60R brake discs, stainless RIP kit, 3" Throttle body,

I'm about to bolt on an 18t as a replacement for a worn 16t on a hlm map. I'm going to invest in a new bcs to be on the safe side as my only concern with the hlm map is its a bit full on, not very linear on the boost so I want to try & avoid bending a rod bit a boost surge as the original bcs is almost certainly past its best ( iirc I think they're a service item at 100k). Make sure the rest of your engine bay is sound as well - vac lines, ingintion system, pcv etc..before strapping on a bigger blower. Apologies if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs, I'm sure you already know most of the above, but better safe than sorry

you need a phase 1 V70R as a donor, phase 2 18T's are angle flange.

If the car has M4.4 the 18T will be straight flange (turbo on the right). If the car has ME7 the 18T will be angle flange (turbo on the left)

yes can do - thats whats been done on mine, but you'd be better off getting a map to suit the bigger flow also unless you have some way of checking AFRs

I'm just down the road from you in Durham
