    "The Beast" 940 project

    So here it is, project beast the car i took as a trade for doing some work on my mates 340. Not sure who got the better deal yet

    Not sure what my plans are for her, do i bring her back to her former glory? Or do i fix her oil leaking issues and running faults (random stalling, fuel pump relay perhaps?) & run her looking rough roadkill style?

    Im not sure what my plans will be either way she will not be marking her territory wherever i park her up, the leaking exhaust will be sorted which im hoping will put the lambda light out (on a side note anyone know if a 740 post manifold pipe is the same as the 940, i have one kicking about the work somewhere)

    anyway heres a few photos

    not sure how the hell that dent on the rear post came about, but im sure as hell it wont knock out

    the photos actually make it look not to bad, but it is pretty poor nick.

    Thanks for looking

    Dont say primer grey, that was my plan for another project The red should polish up nice and if i can pick up some decent wings should be able to spray them to match. I do have a hankering for some white pegasus wheels tho! Ill make a list come the weekend, and then likely go work on something else

    So heres my starting point went round the car taken photos and started a list, ordered oil seals, trying to organise wings and some other bits and pieces. so far i can see it needing some front tyres massive cut and nail in one and metal cord coming out the other lol te interior is old & tired the metal frame is out the drivers seat and if you jump in to quick it breaks your spine, it needs a good scrub inside-out and ill need to cut & polish the good panels and paint or touch up the rest. anyway you probably only came for pictures so;

    Also painted the grill in my current favourite (wrinkle) paint and then lacquered whilst paint still soft to bring up the wrinkles more and give it a slight shine, think its came up alright photos dont really do it justice.

    Cool

    So done another few bits past week, had an old 940 limo exhaust, so done away with my original, welded in 02 sensor bung (no cat pipe) clamped one silencer back on and now have an almost center exit pipe (sorry ) and done my wing as well as gave it a good hover inside!
