    2001 s60 T5 exhaust questions

    Hi everyone.

Got to the bottom of my ABS/STC problems........the sensors were on the wrong wheels!.....

Anyway, she flew straight through the MOT with just advisories for child seat being fitted and sill covers preventing full inspection. I was dreading it because a 5 year old Octavia VRS and a 4 year old Lexus IS that we're in before mine both failed catastrophically and in my mind, a 14 year old, nearly 150k mile-er going for a £30 Kwik-Fit MOT would have been easy pickings! But he came through into the waiting room and bellowed across from the counter "That thing is putting a lot newer cars with 100k miles less to shame!"

So after feeling quite smug in a waiting room full of private plated Audi drivers I decided I need to treat the old girl.

Basically I'm ringing up tomorrow to be booked in for a custom stainless exhaust made. I'm only going for a cat back just now. I was just wondering what's the best bore to go for? 3" or 2.5"? Sure I've seen somewhere someone recommends 3"downpipe then 2.5" the rest of the way.

I will be getting a DP eventually but I'm still in two minds wether to de-cat or sports cat so that can wait just now

Only going to have one box at the back aswell so hopefully should sound pretty good too!

    Cheers everyone!

Going down to RMS in Prestwick. Used him a couple of times and he's always done me a decent job a silly cheap price.

My off-roader had one of his exhausts on, a full turbo back straight pipe, no boxes, coming out of a hole in side of the back bumper. Was bloody well made aswell, had to go up and over the back axle with enough clearance for the axle atrticulation whilst doing some serious off-roading. My truck was stripped and cubed about 2 years ago and the exhaust is still sat in my mates cellar. It outlasted it!haha

And was only about £150 and done in a few hours! Sounded evil too, and everyone knew it was my truck coming by the noise it used to make!haha

    Which R?

If I'm up in Turriff it means work and no play unfortunately, swift drop by an alloy wheel shop excluded of course
