    What is an axial rod?

I was just about to order some new track rod ends for my S60 on ECP and I'm also faced with the option of axial/tie rod ends.

What on earth is an axial rod?!

I think it is actually having looked on a few other sites! Just never heard it called that before.

Does anyone have any experience with Febi Bilstein as a brand?

A decent make in my experience although my preference is Meyle.

I have Meyle HD drop link on at the moment and have lasted well. The previous ££££e on there didn't last long.

I decided on Lemforder in the end, both inner and outer track rod ends. I'm happy I could manage the outers myself, not sure if I could do the inners though. Might just take it to the garage!

Some of the videos on the net seem to say you need a special socket to get the inners off..

Yeah I saw a video on youtube of some guy using a special tool, looked like a Maglite that goes over and tightens up.
