    Good time that.

When I took my R, my first ever run ever up a strip and I got 14.92, with a leaky IC and passenger. I need to get practicing.

    Did you use the NOS?

    Nope, wish I had though.

That sneaky stowaway, must have been costing me a fortune in extra fuel too.

Must tell Louise the benefits of making sure the pram wheels are clean before putting the pram in the boot.
    That'll go well, I'm sure.

yes mate that time was with a dash of nitrous. I was loaded up with a spare wheel onboard, half drunk can of pepsi in the cup holder and a carbon fibre splitter across the back seat for my 480

cheers Dean, the kit is Wizards of NOS gear if you are deciding which kit to go for, quality seems good IMO. I've had the same solenoids on two cars now and they are still working fine

looks lovely. How do you find the tires? I have them on the rear of mine but they are pretty cracked so cannot really call a judgment.

Thanks fella. The Falkens seem pretty good tbh, not expensive either. First impressions are quieter than the RSR's & handling seems a little better, at low speeds anyway due to being narrower. I would expect grip is less but I'm restricting myself to maximum 5 psi boost until the tyres are worn in a bit so mpg seems good also!!

I had them on my 190bhp 205 DT and they weren't good at holding the power down to be honest but they were 175's.

    I am thinking of some 215 45 17 Nankang NS2-R's for mine

    Looking good there, J.

Let us know how you get on with the tyres once you're using boost again.

I need to invest in decent rubber for the Shark, not sure what to go for yet.

These 205's look pretty skinny but that is standard size. They are never going to be as good as the RSRs but they seem OK...plus they are on the MSA list of tyres that I use so good enough for me. I'll just have to improve my driving

will do mate, still scrubbing them in today

Dropping the Wombles (parents) off in Scarborough at the weekend so that will stick a bit of mileage on them...the tyres that is

The car has done 149k as of this week btw - just ran in compared to yours I know

    ///

In other news...MOT passed today, emissions high though - put that new Bosch oxy sensor on & still didn't 100% sort it. 'Scraped' through this time but probably will need a new cat for next time

The sensor that was on it hadn't seen much life, I replaced it not so many miles back with a new bosch part.

The emissions test was always a close run thing unless the cat was very well warmed up.

If the car is causing too many issues then please feel free to return it for a refund

Thanks for the info fella, I wasn't sure how old the sensor was so just changed it out. I'm pretty sure the cat won't have been warm as it wasn't tested immediately after I left it

Hehe no chance of me asking for a refund Nick. That said I would of course offer you first refusal if it is ever for sale (no plans). Maybe we could exchange cars cars for a week instead..?

    Hmm......

Maybe we should make an effort to cross paths sometime for a bit of reminiscing. We'll see what opportunities next year's event calendar brings

Sounds good mate, when I'm back next I'll see if I get the chance to call up. Maybe a mini meet with Scott also (Flying Banana) or another Forth Bridge meet if there is one. You can see how the S70 compares to the '60
