    ME7 T5 Rev Limit RPM

My ME7 B5234T 99 C70 GT will only rev to 6100rpm max, literally as soon as it gets to the "red" section of the rev counter.

All the video's on youtube and specs seem to suggest the car should rev to 6500 ish, as does some threads on here.

Is this correct or is there something playing silly buggers here?

It depends on the software and possible fault codes and gearbox.

What gearbox does it have? Has it been tuned or mapped? Have you read the codes?

Our S60R had a rev limit of 6250 when we bought it (standard), when we had it remapped, we had it raised to 6750.

Up with the girls? Can't think of any other reason you'd be up at such an ungodly hour.

Why do you want it to rev so high? I never take mine past 5000rpm. Your only risking your engine and for what? Your Torque curve would be tailing off before 6000 rpm, so it won't go any faster!

If it's the same reason I did, it's to get through the 1/4 mile without having to change into 4th.

Mines 7200 ATM, I normally change around 6500 though but my turbo can hold 2 bar (on another engine/build) to the redline.
