Stock is 0.5 bar ~ (exact calculated amount I don't have to hand). I got this from the code on my caR. I guess there might be some variances in age/factory stuff but it should be 0.5 bar with the TCV unplugged and at WOT basically.

BTW, your signature stated wastegate pressure is actually the stock pressure for a K24! Not sure if you were aware or not.....
FMIC = Front Mount Inter Cooler.

All P2 T5/R models Do NOT have a FMIC (only the 2nd Aux IC on the R models is a true FMIC). As you state, it's incorporated in the 'Rad pack' meaning your post is ambiguous. A P2 T5 oe IC is sandwiched between the A/C condenser and the Radiator as is the main IC on an R model.

When you fit the KL Racing IC you will be moving the A/C condenser backwards, towards the coolant radiator and mounting the Turbocharger IC in front of the pack.

Regards my sig, I'm well aware of what I've set my WG too and stock pressure for a KKK24 on an P2R is not 7.5 psi (I'm referring to 'boost' pressure, not WG setting) it's much higher than that! IIRC it's around 12-15psi, although remember that a P2 model is 'Torque dependant' and you won't see an exact 'max' reading as it differs from driving loads, ambient air temps, throttle pos. etc etc.

In actual fact, when I had my New KKK24 turbo fitted, the most I ever saw was 13 psi.
But my car is mapped for stage 2 and I see 21-22psi 'peak' and 90% of the time it's around 16 psi.

I think John was meaning they are all at the front...as they are with most cars...except for Colin he does things different)). My Renault has the intercooler next to the n/s/r wing although I'm thinking about changing it out for a charge cooler

If we are being exact then 0.5 bar is 7.25189 psi (gauge)

After doing a lot of digging around on this subject, stock setting of the WG on a KKK24 is actually 0.4 bar (5.8 psi) and can be set accurately using either a Mityvac or Volvo specialist tools.

Thought id read that somewhere that it should be between 5-7psi as a rough guide

I guess you could talk all day about it but it's 0.5 bar, well the S60R and 2005+ T5 files are setup to control the throttle blade correctly around that pressure, for me this is the biggest indication of what Volvo calibrators expected the WG to start cracking at.

Re the IC yes all of them are front mounted, unlike some other cars as pointed out by jamesey

I'm not taking anything away from anyone both IC's are great, both seem to perform the same as for IAT's, as for pressure drop etc, I've not measured that.
