C70 T5 timig belt change intervals

    Hi all,

Can someone give me a definitive answer as to when my April 2001 C70 T5 cab needs the timing belt done. I have seen a variety of opinions from 60k/6yrs to 100k/10yrs, who is right?

The service history shows it being done in 2009 at 61K but seeing as it was really underused, today, albeit 6 years down the line it has only done and addition 9K miles.

    Many thanks.

    In a word 'No'

I had the same response, asked 5 people/garages got 5 different answers, mine was last done 7 years/35K ago so I had it done this week for piece of mind, even if yours has only done 9K since being changed it will probably have started to degrade/crack. Mine ended up being £195 inc

How similar is it to the 2002?

    Volvo says:

    Timing belt
For proper functioning of the vehicle and its emission control systems, the timing belt and belt tensioner must be replaced every 105,000 miles (168,000 km). Engine damage will occur if the belt fails.
Too many previous Volvii to count, all RWD as god intended!
    Currently: North American 2006 V70 2.5t FWD.
