    Random alarm being triggered.

Hi folks, once again after your superior knowledge, this time with random actuation of the alarm. Lock car with remote, 30 seconds later, alarm arms its self, then within a minute, hazards go off but no siren, I have now established that the siren seems to have failed, could this be the reason, or is it coincidental?
When I unlock with the fob led on dash continues to RAPID flash until ignition is switched on & off again. Tried opening, and then dropping hood harder than normal, and everything is ok for now, could this possibly be a faulty micro switch on the hood, and why would the siren not go off? Thanks again for your help.

When the car is off the road is the battery put on a charger / maintainer to keep it at a good charged level.
Not sure if this would keep the siren charged or are you sirens the same as the later cars as they seem to last 6-8 years before they give up ?.
